Black Screen — Pure Black for Displays That Should Disappear

A full-screen #000000 canvas. It is the quickest way to inspect backlight bleed, spot stuck pixels against true black, judge OLED contrast, or simply switch a bright room to black.

How it works

  1. Pick a color

Scroll, use the arrow keys, or press W, B, R, G, or U. The whole page follows along without reloading.

  2. Go full screen

Double-click a swatch or press Enter. A pure field of color fills your entire display.

  3. Press Esc to leave

Exit full screen and you land back on this page, exactly where you left it.

Questions, answered

How do I find dead pixels?

Fill the screen with black and look for tiny bright dots. If you spot one, check it against the white, red, green, and blue screens to tell a dead pixel from a stuck one.

Can I check backlight bleed with it?

Yes. Show black in a dark room and uneven glow around the edges becomes obvious — especially on IPS panels. On OLED, black should be almost indistinguishable from the bezel.

Is it useful for saving power or hiding my desktop?

On OLED displays, black uses less power than a bright page. It is also a quick way to hide your desktop during a presentation or call.
